Hug your kids every day!

After a near death experience yesterday, I promised myself to hug my kids every day.  It is not always are actions we have to worry about but the actions of others.  I stress this all the time to my son and others who will soon be driving.  Not only do we have to be aware of wwhat we are doing, but we have to be constantly be on the look out for how others are driving because many of them do not pay attention while on the road.  My real life example is, while driving yesterday on the highway, a car merging on was not looking and came within inches of smashing into the passenger side of my car where my son was sitting.  As I locked up my breaks at 65 mph the driver of the truck swerved right then left then back right loosing control and flipping six times before stopping upside down against the guard rail.  I thought for sure we were going to be slammed into.  Fortunately for us, no damage.  The driver of the truck was conscious but hurt and trapped in the truck.  So the pointe here is, you just never know, when something bad can happen and you have no control of the situation.  So I promised myself to hug my kids every day and tell them I love them, because I don't ever want to have the last time I see them be a time when they did not know how much I loved them.
